EDIT (8th August 07): Just realized the one that I uploaded wasn't exactly the final, so here it is (with birds).

~
Our great grandmother was eight when they came. They were welcomed with wide open arms. For they are the one who promised the tribe great wisdom and future.

She could remember vividly the last day birds chirp and the trees still beam with life.

Now we must challenge our enemy and live on the hope of her memory.

Daily DeviationThe story behind The Great Forest by ~firedudewraith really grabbed me because it opened up so many possibilities to match a very interesting forest. I like how the little girl gives the viewer a strong sense of hope, I think it's a perfect touch to tie it all together. (Suggested by ~HealingBlight and Featured by `Aeires)

beyond excellent as usual! i feel like i'm high up in the trees looking at this picture. Awesome work on the perspective - and the realism as well. The small details really bring the piece to life. :D
